It started with one car.
David Walters established the business in 1978 as Southwood Taxis, serving the local area from Coombe Dingle. Shortly after opening, a four-day Bristol bus strike brought more customers, and the business began to grow.
More drivers joined, radio-controlled cars followed and the name changed to Trymside — a name with a familiar local connection.
A personal service, then and now.
After years of operating as a family concern, the business chose a smaller fleet and a more personal approach. Stuart Walters now leads the day-to-day service with family support.
Some customers have been with Trymside from the very beginning. Whether you need a local lift, an airport transfer or travel for your business, that personal connection remains at the heart of what we do.
